Admissions Information
Our primary goal is to meet the needs of each child.
Appropriate placement and acceptance into our traditionally “prepared environment” will be determined by information gathered during your application process.
Dr. Montessori created multi-aged environments. Each classroom is balanced by age and gender. Three year old spaces are always available each year. All other spaces are dependent on our yearly re-enrollment needs.
We do not provide a “napping program” for young children who stay all day.
Lakewood Montessori School has no religious affiliation and accepts children without regard to race, color, creed or national origin.
Application: Schedule a Tour
Contact the school by phone or email. Our Director of Admissions will reply and schedule a tour for you. Tours are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 and 2:00. She will show you the facility, discuss our program and answer your questions at this time.
You will receive an application at the end of your tour. Please provide the application when you return for the interview with your child. No application fee is required.
Schedule an Interview with your Child
Preschool parents will attend the interview with their child. Readiness and potential success in our program will be determined based on the interview.
An authorization form to release previous school records may be required.
An observation or classroom visit may be scheduled upon request after the child’s interview.
Admission
If we feel that our environment will satisfy the needs of your child, a $500.00 non-refundable registration fee will be due along with a signed enrollment agreement. When the applicable tuition has been paid, your child will be enrolled on a trial basis. If necessary, a parent/teacher conference will be held during this trial period to review the child’s progress and to determine how to best meet the needs of your child.
